Community members gather at the Coronado Woman’s Club shredding event to securely dispose of documents.
The Coronado Woman’s Club is set to hold a community shredding event on July 19, encouraging residents to securely dispose of sensitive documents. For a donation of $8 per bag or box, attendees can ensure the safe shredding of material. The event proceeds will benefit local charities and engage the community in meaningful ways. This initiative supports the club’s ongoing philanthropic efforts, and the next shredding event is scheduled for January 2024.
Coronado – The Coronado Woman’s Club (CWC) is hosting a community Shredding Event on Saturday, July 19, from 10 am to 12 pm. This event will take place at 505 Grand Caribe Causeway in the Coronado Cays.
Residents are encouraged to bring boxes or bags filled with documents that need to be securely shredded. Participants are asked for a requested donation of $8 per bag or box to facilitate this safe on-site shredding service.
The shredding service is generously underwritten by Blue Bridge Hospitality, allowing the CWC to dedicate all proceeds from the event to its philanthropic initiatives. This is part of the club’s ongoing efforts to engage the community while raising funds for local charities and projects.
For additional information regarding the Coronado Woman’s Club and its activities, individuals can visit their official website at www.coronadowomansclub.org.
During the Shredding Event, community members will have the opportunity to dispose of sensitive documents safely, promoting not only privacy but also goodwill by supporting local causes. This event is open to everyone, and the club welcomes all members of the community to participate.
The CWC conducts monthly meetings on the first Wednesday of each month from October to June at Stake Chophouse & Bar. The organization is committed to offering various social, cultural, civic, and philanthropic activities designed to meet the interests of its members and the surrounding community.
Throughout the year, the CWC organizes multiple fundraising events. One of their recent successes included raising $2,000 for the Coronado Band and Choir Boosters at the Artisan’s Alley event. This money helps to bolster local arts programs and enhance community offerings.
Established in 1947, the Coronado Woman’s Club is a proud member of the General Federation of Women’s Clubs, which comprises over 60,000 members nationwide. This affiliation empowers the CWC to continue its commitment to serving local organizations such as PAWS and the 4th of July Committee, among others.
The club’s initiatives not only aim to foster community engagement but also to encourage new memberships, ensuring that their philanthropic efforts continue to thrive. The upcoming Shredding Event is just one example of how the club is reaching out to involve residents in meaningful ways.
Following the July 19 event, the next community Shredding Event is scheduled for January 20, 2024. The CWC anticipates that this recurring community service will continue to be a valuable resource for residents, reinforcing the importance of secure document disposal while supporting various humanitarian causes.
As the Coronado Woman’s Club continues to grow and impact local charities, it remains dedicated to the values of community service and empowerment. The Shredding Event is another step toward achieving these goals and providing a safe, beneficial service to the residents of Coronado.
