The display will span 18 minutes, beginning at 9 p.m. and will be choreographed, launching from four barges around Shelter Island, Harbor Island, North Embarcadero, and South Embarcadero.

Coronado’s Festivities

Coronado will start its Independence Day events early at 7:30 a.m. with live music, dancing, and vendors. The highlight will be the annual parade, which kicks off at 10 a.m. This year’s celebrations will feature aerial displays by the Frog-X Parachute Team and several concerts, culminating in a fireworks display over Glorietta Bay at 9 p.m.

Escondido and Petco Park

In Escondido, the 60th Annual Independence Day Festival is expected to draw over 25,000 attendees. The festival will offer live music, arts and crafts, and conclude with a fireworks show at 9 p.m. Meanwhile, Petco Park will host a “Party in the Park” event, featuring $5 drink specials and live music, alongside a baseball game against the Texas Rangers, starting at 3:40 p.m.

Family-Friendly Events Across the County

El Cajon invites families to Kennedy Park for a variety of free activities, including train rides, arts and crafts, and DJ performances leading up to a fireworks display at 9 p.m. LEGOLAND California is holding its Red, White & BOOM celebration, showcasing fireworks that transform into illuminated LEGO bricks from 10 a.m. to 9 p.m.

Historical Celebrations

Old Poway Park will offer a glimpse into historical Fourth of July celebrations with western reenactments and games from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. The Julian Independence Day Parade will honor U.S. service members, featuring the Marine Corps Color Guard, starting at 9:30 a.m. Another cultural event takes place at Jacobs Park, where the San Diego Symphony will perform an auditory journey through U.S. musical history at 7:30 p.m., with tickets starting at $58.

From 11 a.m. to 4 p.m., Old Town San Diego will engage attendees with historical games and crafts. Additional Celebrations

The City of Imperial Beach will host live music and a fireworks show at 9 p.m., while the San Diego County Fair will launch fireworks from the Corona Grandstand Stage at 9 p.m. Several other cities, including Chula Vista, Ramona, and Poway, are also hosting free events filled with various activities ranging from food vendors to concerts.
