El Paso, Texas – The 2025 UIL Texas high school baseball playoffs kicked off on May 1, 2025, showcasing the talent of over 20 local schools vying for postseason glory. Among them, several teams have demonstrated impressive performances in the bi-district round, leading to the next stage of the tournament.
Several El Paso high schools have advanced through the competitive bi-district matches held this weekend. Coronado, Mountain View, Riverside, Horizon, and Del Valle emerged as bi-district champions, securing their spots in the next round of the playoffs, which will take place from May 8 to May 10, 2025. Other teams, including Legacy, Frenship, El Dorado, Americas, Clint, and Ysleta, also advanced after overcoming their opponents.
In one of the notable series, the Socorro Bulldogs faced the Permian Panthers. Despite a hard-fought attempt, Socorro was ultimately eliminated, losing the first game 10-8, winning the second 7-0, but falling in the decisive third game 2-1.
