Coronado, CA – Award-winning children’s author Mac Barnett will host a book signing and reading at the Coronado Library on May 20, starting at 3:30 PM. This family-friendly event invites attendees of all ages to meet Barnett and have their books signed. At 4 PM, Barnett will share his favorite picture books, discussing the intricate relationship between words and illustrations in children’s literature.
The Coronado Library is one of only five libraries in the United States chosen for this special event, selected in partnership with the Coronado Unified School District. Notably, it is the only library west of the Rio Grande included in this nationwide tour. The visit marks the first location of Barnett’s engagement as the National Ambassador for Young People’s Literature, an initiative aimed at promoting the importance of children’s literature to enhance literacy and education.
