Don’t miss this chance to declutter and help others while enjoying the pleasant spring weather.
Get ready, Coronado! There are some fantastic events happening this upcoming weekend that you won’t want to miss. It’s a great opportunity to declutter your home, connect with the community, and even lend a helping hand—all while enjoying the fresh breeze of spring!
The Coronado Woman’s Club (CWC) is hosting a Shredding Event on Saturday, March 29, 2025, that’s perfect for all those piles of documents you’ve been holding onto. Whether it’s outdated papers or old receipts, now’s the chance to get rid of them safely! This event will run from 10 a.m. to 12 p.m. in the parking lot behind US Bank, located at 800 Orange Avenue.
For a small donation of $8 per bag or box, you can bring your items to be securely shredded right on-site. It’s safe, and your sensitive information will be destroyed without a trace. All proceeds from this event will benefit the CWC’s philanthropic efforts, helping fund their important community projects. The event is supported by Blue Bridge Hospitality, who is covering the costs of the data disposal truck, so you can feel good about your contributions!

The excitement doesn’t stop there! The Coronado Woman’s Club will also hold its next monthly meeting on Wednesday, April 2, 2025, at 11:30 a.m. Join your neighbors at the lovely Stake Chophouse & Bar for a delightful afternoon. The featured guest speaker will be Ana Magdalena from Promises2Kids, who will be discussing their valuable work in our community.
If you’re interested in becoming a member of the club and attending this meeting, please send an RSVP to Barbara Gerth at barbaragerth@gmail.com by March 28. Everyone is welcome to join, so why not meet some new friends and get involved?
The clothing drive is seeking gently used clothing for adults only, as the Alpha Project’s Temporary Bridge Shelter serves individuals aged 18 and older. This is a chance to clean out your closet and help those in need. Plus, all donated items will be directly delivered to the shelter located at 1535 Newton Ave, San Diego.
If you’re looking to support the Alpha Project further, you can also make online donations or send a check to help enhance their community services. Every little bit counts!
As you prepare for a busy weekend, don’t forget to check the weather. The forecast for March 28, 2025, is looking quite pleasant, with a mix of clouds and sun in the morning followed by cloudier skies in the afternoon. Expect a high of 64°F and a low around 56°F. Winds will be from the west at about 10 to 15 mph during the day and cooling down to 5 to 10 mph at night. It’s the perfect weather for both events!
